The Incredible Pig Syndrome!

Pigs are notorious for their instinctive urge to gorge themselves on food—which used to be called slop—and get fat, following which they are slaughtered to provide food for human beings.

It stands to reason that pigs are not smart enough to eat only what they need to be healthy and live a normal life span… otherwise humans would be eating a lot more lean pork.

I’ve had personal experience with raising and slaughtering pigs. When I was about four years old my father enlisted my help in slaughtering a normal sized pig. He asked me to hold the back legs of the pig so it couldn’t run and he could shoot it in the head with a 22.caliber rifle.

But the pig kept swaying its head back-and-forth and the bullet lodged in the side of its head. This set off even more squirming and squealing and kicking by the pig.

Dad got a hammer, straddled the head of the pig with his back facing me and began trying hit it in the head with the hammer. This caused even more squirming and squealing and kicking, but after several blows he finally killed it.

Every time I hear that some 60 percent or more of Americans are obese [fat!], or see really really fat people waddling along like over-inflated balloons I am reminded of the built-in instincts of pigs to gorge themselves as long as there is food available, and of the pig that Dad and I killed.

Normal human beings are not as dumb as pigs. But an incredibly large percentage of people in the U.S. and elsewhere gorge themselves like pigs. There are a variety of reasons for this.

Fat women tend to have fat babies who apparently inherent a tendency from their mothers to over-eat. Fat mothers provide their children with more food than they need and often insist that they eat everything that is on their plates.

With extra food on their plates and on the table and the pressure and example set by their mothers many kids get into the habit of eating until they are stuffed.

Furthermore, both home-cooked and processed goods are laced with salt or sugar or both, which triggers an “eat response” in people.

Fast-food restaurants have become masters at creating foods that both look good and are tasty by adding sugar, salt, oils and other ingredients that trick both the mind and the taste buds.

Restaurants of all kinds serve up dishes that contain more calories than an individual needs, adding to the fat syndrome. And many specialize in serving huge portions.

Both food manufacturers and restaurants use clever advertising and marketing techniques to seduce people into eating fattening foods and more food than they need.

Many American women have been seduced by the food industry and some medical authorities into believing that they got fat and stay fat because they had babies. There are millions of mothers around the world who have had several children but during pregnancy only their bellies get big and following child-birth they return to their normal slim size.

Fat men and women in the U.S. and other “well-to-do” countries have developed a pig syndrome that belies their intelligence.

And then there are the profit-making drug companies that spend millions of dollars promoting drugs to help people lose weight. And doctors who suck out stomach fat or tie up something in the stomach that prevents people from gorging themselves.

In June 2013 the American Medical Association officially declared obesity a disease, like cancer, TB, daibetes, and so on. The goal of this movement was to make it possible for doctors to charge obese people fees for treating their “disease,” with the charges being passed on to medicare and private insurance companies.

The motivation of the AMA doctors is obvious, as this would add millions of additional people to their patient pool. That will further enrich doctors but it will also help bankrupt the government.

You can’t blame pigs for getting fat! But people…..!!!

Why Politicians Oppose Gun-Control Laws

There is something pathetic about the attitude and behavior of politicians in Washington toward gun-control. They proclaim that it infringes on the Constitutional rights of citizens; that they are serving millions of people who say that having guns in their homes is needed for protection against a predatory government.

These people also proclaim that having guns in their homes makes it possible for them to protect themselves against criminals invading their homes—criminals who are often carrying guns and are therefore more dangerous.

And then there is the claim that gun-control would limit the freedom of people to hunt and to engage in gun-shooting events.

The politicians who fight against additional gun-control laws naturally proclaim that they are representing the will of their constituents; of the threatened people of the United States.

There is no real validity to any of these claims. They are all false; all B-S wrapped in the cloth of righteousness—something that is characteristic of a significant percentage of all politicians.

There are two reasons why so many politicians oppose additional gun-control laws. The secondary reason is nothing more than a demonstration of the macho mindset of males; of a primitive instinct to dominate and control others.

The primary reason for such widespread opposition to more gun-control laws is the new morality of humanity: money and profit-making. Things that make money—no matter how harmful they may be—have become essential to the lifestyle created following the Industrial Revolution that began in 1760 and continued until about 1830.

Politicians are fueled by money and spend a great deal of their time and energy promoting and protecting enterprises that make money. Gun manufacturing and gun selling are two of the world’s major profit-making industries.

The entertainment industries are among the greatest producers of profit in the world, and they are also the greatest sellers of gun-based violence—so one might presume that both gun makers and politicians adore them.

It’s as simple as that.

Japan is often brought up as an example of a country that dramatically limits gun ownership, and as a result has the lowest death-by-guns rate in the world.

Shortly after the Tokugawa Shogunate came to power in 1603 it had all of the weapons in the country confiscated from ordinary citizens. The samurai warrior class also gave up their guns, keeping only their swords. This action eliminated all deaths by gun until the late 1800s when the Shogunate form of government ended.

Still today shootings and gun deaths in Japan occur only a few times a year.

The New Masculine Female Sex!

I recently came across a television program showing women engaged in bodybuilding—that is, weight-lifting to create a muscular physique.

Some of the women had achieved incredible success, with muscular bodies that could compete with Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Austrian who started his career as a bodybuilder, moved to Hollywood, became an actor [The Terminator, etc.], politician [governor of California] and multimillionaire businessman.

But the more muscular the women were the more grotesque and less human not to mention less feminine they looked. In fact, they presented a frightening appearance that suggested something alien or robotic.

This extreme bodybuilding by women is rare, however, but it is a reminder that American culture has changed to the point that it is gradually reducing the feminine attributes of females and making them more masculine in their attitudes and behavior.

On the average American females are getting bigger and stronger and are adopting more and more of the values and behavior that have been associated with males since the origin of the human species.

This evolutionary change is coming about in part because of a reaction to the traditional oppression of females by males. Economic, social and political changes that occurred in the 20th century finally made it possible for females to demand and get more of the rights and privileges that had traditionally been exclusively male.

And as has recently been recognized as lifestyles change nature responds by incorporating the changes into the genetic code of human beings—in other words, nature is responding by giving females more male attributes.

In mid-2013 the U.S. government announced that women would gradually be integrated into all of the military fighting units, including marines. This policy is going to have repercussions well beyond just adding to the military recruit pool.

And another interesting fact about nature is that the bigger and stronger females of a species become the smaller and weaker the males become.

In short, nature is in the early stages of producing American Amazons—a legendary race of female warriors believed by the ancient Greeks to exist in Scythia near the Black Sea in modern Russia—and male wimps.

How fast this sex-switch is going and how far it will go is something to think about! But adult females are generally more rational and practical than males…so not to worry, maybe.

A New Fart-Filled World for Girls!

Throughout recorded history wiser human beings have attempted to limit the amount of mental and physical violence in societies and maintain a common-sense standard of behavior by instituting laws and rules and creating religions.

It goes without saying that all of these attempts have failed, and all of the known forms of mental suffering and physical violence are now as rampant, if not more so, than they have ever been.

And there is now a new creator and arbiter of behavioral standards that has the power to fundamentally change human behavior—sometimes in a matter of minutes…something no god or law has ever succeeded in doing in the past.

This new something is the power of humanity’s new morality: money and the profit-making enterprises that produce it. Making money is not only essential for life today it has become sacred—something that relates to the worship of a deity.

One of the many new ways of making money that has emerged from the technological revolution is the creation of shows for television, and one of these shows is a supposedly “cute” one called “Girl Code.”

A recent segment of “Girl Code” [don’t ask me why I came across it….I was surfing!] featured a group of exceptionally pretty girls in their late teens or early 20s who were discussing all of the ways they farted, could fart, and when they farted.

That’s right! Farting as in passing gas!

The dialogue and the acting of the girls was something to behold. At first I didn’t believe it, but after just a few seconds there was no doubt about what I was seeing and hearing.

The segment was both proclaiming and demonstrating a new code of behavior for girls. And given the makeup of the human brain this code was obviously being implanted in the minds of young female viewers, including those only five or six years old.

Another TV show aimed at teenage girls that recently debuted is called “Girl Fight.” You can guess the theme of the show, and you can image its influence on young girl viewers.

Don’t you just love technology!

The Spread of Dirty Humor!

Not too long ago professional comics were a boon to mankind, adding a special ingredient to life that helped to mitigate the pain and stress of daily living and increase camaraderie.

They provided a type of entertainment that was appropriate for all ages; that families could enjoy together. Comedy included both verbal jokes and humorous behavior.

And then just before the year 2000 some professional comics began to incorporate what used to be known as vulgar speech into their routines. They began using the F word and other forms of foul speech to add punch to their jokes.

A number of comedians quickly became nationally famous for basing their whole routines on the use of speech that had traditionally been shocking and never used by most people.

This sudden cultural downshift was not limited to male comedians; it also became the main attraction of a number of female comedians whose whole routines were based on spouting so-called foul words.

They, like their male counter parts, first began appearing in clubs around the country, where their routines were often filmed and began showing up on TV shows, first as news.

Films of these raunchy club acts showed large audiences that included both males and females—most often husbands and wives whose waves of laughter and hand-clapping were a sight to see and hear.

The news media fed this cultural phenomenon without any apologies; but many journalists, including some in the most upstanding publications, used clever ways to both praise and condemn the comics in order to avoid being seen as hacks for the foul-mouthed entertainers.

Today, the drawing power of many television dramas is based on the obscene language the actors use. Many movies, especially those made for television, routinely add vulgarity to their non-stop violence.

And what has been the public response to this phenomenon? Some professional appearing television commentators have suggested that the use of the F bomb and other terms that have traditionally been considered foul will gradually lose their shock value and become just ordinary words.

Is that just a cop-out or is it a demonstration of the ability of the human mind to adjust to new situations?

A new movie starring five young male actors is reviewed by a major newspaper as “raunchy rapture” and “apocalyptically dirty” and is rated as R for its “crude language, graphic nudity, sexual content, drug use and some violence,” and gets a 4-star rating as Good.

In a long review that is bound to attract heavy readership the reviewer sums up by describing the film as “a raunchy laugh riot.”

The movie review section of this newspaper [and other papers around the country] is designed to attract advertising. The impact of such movies on young people is incredible.

But the volume of dirty humor in movies and on television pales in comparison to what is on Internet websites. And then there is the online social media…the perfect place for dirty humor.

The Zombie-ization of Americans!

Zombie-ism began as a snake god of voodoo cults in West Africa, Haiti and southern areas of the United States. It refers to a supernatural power or spell that can enter into and reanimate a dead body. It also refers to a person who looks and acts like a brainless robot.

The zombie snake god now thrives throughout the United States in every category and class of people.

The zombie virus is spread by several of the most impressive and profitable industries in the United States, including advertising, marketing, the news media, movies, publicity, and television shows.

The most influential of the zombie makers are advertising, marketing and news media companies. Altogether they have brain-washed [cast a spell on] virtually the entire population of the country.

Very few Americans make up their own minds about things. They believe what the advertisers, marketers and news media savants want them to believe and they behave in the way advertisers, marketers and news pundits program them to behave.

This programming precludes people from thinking and behaving in a rational, practical manner and covers the entire spectrum of human behavior, including politics, of course.

And, of course, this remarkable situation is based on the fact that the human brain is like a powerful computer—it believes and acts on whatever is programmed into it.

Unfortunately, only a few people manage to grow into adulthood and retain the ability to discern the difference between reality and all of the illusion that surrounds them and is constantly besieging their eyes, ears and brains.

So here again is further proof that human beings have not yet evolved very far from their animal origins.

The Incredibly Dumb Population-Prosperity Policy!

The Industrial Revolution changed the lifestyle and history of mankind in fundamental ways that are often far more negative than positive.

The development of new industries did indeed put many men to work making things that had never been made before as well as dramatically increasing the speed of making old things that used to be made by hand.

But if you make up a list of all of the positive things that the Industrial Revolution brought about and all of the negative things that resulted the negative list would be much longer.

If you consider just the wars that followed the Industrial Revolution between both industrialized nations and by the advanced nations against undeveloped nations the carnage and suffering that resulted can hardly be imagined.

The advanced countries bringing ideas, religions and technology to the undeveloped countries may read like or sound like a boon to humanity but it resulted in tragedies on a massive scale.

Prior to the Industrial Revolution couples generally had large numbers of children because the mortality rate was high and they provided more hands for work. Furthermore, most males refused to cooperate to limit pregnancies.

And then there were the religious cults that required their faithful followers to have many children “because it was God’s will.” [If you do not regard Judaism, Christianity, Islam and other religious sects as “cults” look up the word in a dictionary].

All of these things combined, along with advances in health care, resulted in populations increasing rapidly…a phenomenon that was seen by businesspeople and politicians in industrial countries as not only good but necessary—the more people the more workers and the more consumers.

Very quickly it became accepted dogma that industrial prosperity depended upon a continuously growing population…a concept that is now an integral element in both sustaining and growing economies and both protecting and improving the lifestyle that has developed.

However, there is a fundamental fallacy in this concept that is either unknown or ignored by business and political leaders. Continuous population growth can be and often is destructive and can eventually be deadly.

In today’s advanced countries trying to cope with the negative impact of continuously growing populations is an unending battle. It has become a conflict in which new technology plays both a positive and negative role.

If this dichotomy is not resolved by a new philosophy the present system could eventually implode. At this stage I do not believe that business leaders and politicians in the larger and more advanced countries are capable of making such a fundamental change in their mindset.

But if they do not the environmental damage caused by the error in this policy will continue to make the planet sicker and sicker. The already ailing Earth does not need more people. It needs wiser policies and practices.

Our Enemies are Not Aliens!

Inhabitants of planet Earth do not have to worry about their homes being attacked by aliens from outer space. That could happen but it is so unlikely that we shouldn’t worry about it…

However, according to some news media reports the government has a number of obscure programs to detect the approach of alien warships.

The Earth is, of course, already under attack but by earthlings; not aliens. The home-grown attacks on the Earth have been described over and over by individuals and groups with warnings that if dramatic changes are not made the Earth will eventually become unlivable.

The armies attacking the Earth are made up of both individuals and companies, with companies being at the forefront of the battle lines. The overwhelming majority of the industrial activities in the United States and all other industrialized nations results in some kind of harm to the planet.

These harmful agents include not only the processes of manufacturing but also many of the products that are produced. This story is, of course, well known and there is a growing effort to eliminate or at least mitigate the worst of the pollution.

Old-timers might remember the name of Stewart Brand and his huge Whole Earth Catalog, which contained hundreds of suggestions for helping to reduce pollution.

However, this is not something that can be done easily or quickly and each day that goes by more harmful substances are pumped into the air, the earth and the oceans.

One of the biggest offenders is the energy industry—the plants that produce electrical energy. Without massive amounts of electrical energy available at the push of a button the entire economic, political and social systems of the industrialized nations would collapse in a matter weeks.

The basic problem is simply that the lifestyle that humans have created since the Industrial Revolution in the 1700s has ended up hurting the Earth in some way.
It seems that the only partial future solution for this problem will be more advances in technology that will make it possible for fundamental changes to be made in where and how we live and how companies manufacture and distribute all the products we need and want.

But given the basic mindset of men, the prevailing money morality, the failure of religions to curb the worst instincts of mankind and the lack of a rational, practical universal philosophy to guide and control human efforts, the health of the Earth will continue to decline for a very long time.

I foresee the time when some people will unite to build huge space arks that will hold thousands of residents and include sustainable processes for providing air, food, water and other necessities for a comfortable life…and either reconvert or vaporize all waste.

For these arks to provide and sustain permanent [or semi-permanent] homes they would have to control the size of their populations, which means no religions that expect their followers to produce as many children as possible.

If I could end up on one of these space arks I would immediately ask for a close fly-by of Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and the other planets, as well as several dozen of the solar system’s 200 moons. What a tour that would be!

America’s Dumbed-Down Political Process!

The concept of democracy—a situation in which the majority rules by voting for their leaders and by voting them out when they fail to follow the will of the people—was a great advance in the political process, and it sounds good.

But it works well when only a few people are involved or when larger groups are culturally homogenized to the point that they think and act very much alike—that is they essentially have the same values and same desires and readily agree about virtually all matters.

Democracy worked fairly well during the early decades of the United States, but the larger and more diverse the population the more disagreements and conflicts that arose among both voters and elected officials.

The greatest and most destructive example of the fatal weaknesses of the democratic system was the Civil War [1861-1865] during which several million men were killed or horribly wounded, and much of the infrastructure of the south was destroyed. The war enlarged a schism between the north and south that still has not healed.

And another fundamental truth that the war revealed was the inability of the Christian religion to bring people together and maintain peace and goodwill. Both sides in the war proclaimed loudly that the Christian God was on their side and would ensure their victory. You know how that turned out.

Democracy as it is practiced in the United States today has so many inherent faults and problems that there is no way it can or ever will function effectively.

In addition to the inherent faults of democracy the Congress of the United States and state governments have passed a morass of laws designed to please and favor small groups of people and districts within the states that emphasize the weaknesses of democracy rather than

serve the interest and needs of the public.
When you have 100 diverse districts represented by 100 diverse individuals, each with local and personal agendas, you have a series of problems in which there is little or no common ground.

The two-party system of government has always been and always will be a total repudiation of the concept of democracy. The two-party system divides the people into groups that have the strongest opposing views and desires and see each other as the enemy. It gives them a platform, a bulwark, on which they can stand and argue and fight and prevent the other side from getting its way.

The two-party system of government should be banned. There should be only one party in the U.S.—the America Party. The only way this might ever happen is for the overwhelming number of Americans who are disgusted with Congress to put their collective feet down and order their representatives to pass legislation outlawing the two-party system, recall them if they don’t, and send in new members who will.

Don’t hold your breath…for here again is another classic example of the irrational elements that make up the beast-mind of human males!

The Great World Wealth Rip-Off

Statistics reveal that some 80 percent of the wealth of the United States is owned by 20 percent of the population. In countries in Asia and Africa the disparity between the rich and the not rich is even more extreme—in many cases as much as 95 percent to five percent.

The reasons for these huge disparities are simple. In the worst Asian and African nations the rulers of the country control virtually all of the wealth. They simply presume to own the wealth-producing raw materials and industries of the countries and use the wealth to maintain large support staffs of bureaucrats along with military forces to keep the populace at bay.

In the United States the reason for the wealth disparity is both more subtle and clever and is hardly ever criticized by the government, the news media, the educators or anyone else.
The directors of major American corporations simply approve the system of paying top executives huge salaries and giving them stock and stock options in the companies they managed.

The combined income of many individual executives in the U.S. amounts to dozens of millions of dollars a year while ordinary employees of many huge companies make as little as 20 or 30 thousand dollars a year.

By approving stock and stock options for top executives the hand-picked directors of large corporations ensure that most of the wealth produced by the companies goes to and stays in the hands of the executives and their families.

This system creates a small class of very wealthy families that will remain rich and get richer with each generation if they are not complete idiots.

Of course, there are incredibly rich people in the U.S. who made their wealth on their own and are incredibly generous, giving large amounts of it away and financing worthy projects. They are and should be applauded.

But there is something wrong with a capitalistic system that rewards a tiny percentage of the population with great wealth simply because of their positions as executives of profit-making companies, while their employees are paid miniscule amounts by comparison.

I do not object to people becoming rich when they do so by fair and just means, but it does irk me that a relatively small number of executives and their comrades-in-arms directors are able to vote themselves huge salaries in cash and stock.

That, to me, is immoral and is another example of the low order of common sense—not to mention wisdom—that is still typical of the male sex.
